What's an Intranet, Anyway?

An Intranet is simply a private Web site—one that is not accessible by the general public. This Intranet is a Web site designed just for you, the employees of Accredited Home Lenders.

The goal of this site is to make your jobs easier. Current features (or those that will soon be implemented) have been included to improve communication among departments, increase productivity and effectiveness, and decrease costs. How? By providing quick access to the most up-to-date, authoritative company and industry information and resources available.

To make this site even more useful, information is broken down in terms of how it serves particular groups of people with common needs. Accessible by clicking a tab at the top of each page, these groups include Managers, Wholesale Production, Retail Production, and New Employees.

You may also browse the site by using any of the navigation features located on the left side of each page. This includes a search function, and two drop-down menues—one that allows you to select a particular department, and the other that lists commonly used "quick links."
